Awareness In Our Walk With Him

Tithing Or Giving?

Through the years, and even generations, there has been a Lot of Misunderstanding in the area of Tithes & Offerings and Giving.

If you read the Scriptures as they are, you will clearly see that Tithes & Offerings were definitely part of the Old Covenant God had in the Old Testament with The Jews, but your Pastors have been taught in "Bible Schools" to TRANSFER these Tithes & Offerings over to God's Covenant with Christians when clearly speaking, there is No Reference to Christians Tithing in the New Testament OR Early Church History. But somehow the Pastors 'wave the magic wand' (so to speak) and it's there! In the Pages of this Web-Menu, you will  discover why this is actually an Unscriptural Practice.

And many Self-Serving Televangelists actually Twist certain Scriptures to present an Argument in favor of Tithes & Feast Days Offerings being Reintroduced to Christians that is Clearly Never There in the first place. But they would 'wave their magic wand' and have you believe you have to Pay all the Feast Day Offerings in addition to the Full Tithe and you are robbing God if you don't.

Then they bargain with you, what you will Get from God if you pay your dues To Their Ministries - kind of like they don't want you to go away empty handed - so they then teach you how to Bargain with God. It could be called Bartering too, where God will give us So Much More if we give our Best Offering into that Greedy Preacher's Pocket in the Name of God they take in Vain, which is a direct violation of the Ten Commandments.

You can’t bribe God. Of all things, that is one of the most offensive things to Him. All Religion that tries to offer God something in exchange for His Favor is false religion. The only thing that can make us acceptable before God is the incorruptible Blood of Christ that was shed for us at Calvary. Pentecostalism teaches and preaches a lot of Prosperity-Gospel which pretty much majors on a

“Pay for Your Blessings” scheme.

The Holy Spirit brought two Scriptures to my attention not many weeks ago I wasn't searching for in relation to this

They are as follows:

Deuteronomy 10:17

New International Version

For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.

New Living Translation

“For the LORD your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed.

English Standard Version

For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.

Romans 11:33-35

Berean Standard Bible

33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and untraceable His ways!

34 “Who has known the Mind of The Lord? Or who has been His Counselor?” 35 “Who has first given to God, that God Should Repay him?”…

Good News Translation

Who has ever given him anything, so that He Had To Pay It Back?"

Weymouth New Testament

"Who has first given God anything, so as to Receive Payment in Return?"

(I did this, so You have to do that)

The emphasis is wrong!

When looking extensively for a verse “God is No Man’s Debtor” that Preachers often teach,

I did not find any such verse. But I did however find the following:

The first is written by a Christian Indian person and the second is on a Bible Exposition Commentary website.

"One thing that struck me about it was the fact that, bribery culture and transactional behavior holds true for humanity as a whole, not just India. This is due to our fallen nature. As evidenced in various countries, we find that people seem to think that they can Twist God's Arm into giving them whatever they desire or seek.  They use various methods to appease and find Favor with God.

Bribery culture is true not only in Hinduism, but in Contemporary Christianity as well. Sadly, many preachers today, take the fact that God is no man’s debtor and have manipulated it for their own selfish gain and twisted motives. They preach and propagate the ‘Prosperity Gospel’ and lead millions astray - they teach people to become transactional in their dealings with God.

We must bear in mind that God Gives out of His own Sovereign Will, and not according to the will of man. We cannot bribe God,

Ps 40:6, Ps 51:16, tell us that God does not desire sacrifices or burnt offerings. God is the Lord of how He rewards us.

God is the just giver of all good things. When we give to Him, it is important to remember that God sees that attitude of giver, He sees the heart, not the amount or item given. The bible tells us that ‘God loves a cheerful giver’, but if we give out of our selfish ambition and self-interest, God sees it for what it really is. Our motive should be to seek the ‘One who Blesses’, to please Him, not for the blessing."

God is no man's debtor. It is wrong to place God under obligation to us.

Everything in the universe is God's in the first place.

Romans 11:35

35 “Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?”

Verse 35 is a free reference from Job 41:11, where Job declared that God is solely responsible for what He does because He is sovereign over creation. This is the second Old Testament proof for verse 33

35 “Or who has first given to Him

No one has first given God anything. God needs no resources from anyone because He is sufficient in Himself.

1 Chr 29:14, But who am I, and who are my people, That we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, And of Your own we have given You.

God gives to us because He Loves us – as a Father and Creator – not because we deserve (You Owe Us) kind of thing. And many times, He knows better than to give us too much in this lifetime because “the deceitfulness of Riches” can take our eyes right off Him (as evidenced in many Christians who no longer walk with Him) Rightly did Jesus say “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world (so much in this world) and loses his soul?”

Greedy Sin-Sick, Money Grabbing Televangelists are teaching you to Covert Money and Wealth just like they have – if you don’t go broke beforehand, giving so much of what you do have to them when they are battering with you! IE “God will give you what you want the most if you give $_______” OR “Give your Best Offering to Him”

Remember what I said about Taking God’s Name in Vain………they are highly skilled at it!

Your Two Strong objections to all that pressure should be:

Their Motives are Covetous

and

I don't want My Motives to be Covetous

Our Motive Should Always Be:

I Don't GIVE To GET........I  FREELY GIVE to BLESS Others!

And THIS is the Type of GIVING that is Encouraged in the NEW TESTAMENT

The only type of Giving the Early Christians engaged in.

Did you know that Jesus Disciples Paid Taxes?

AND

Nowhere is it recorded that they Paid Tithes

(obviously because they did not)

It's pretty strange that Preachers Today place so much importance on Tithes & Offerings

yet the Apostle Paul made absolutely no mention of Tithes an Feast Offerings

yet he said he Declared the Whole Counsel of God to us.

He also said when the Apostles got together with him (when he declared his teachings to them),

he said "the One thing they asked of me was to Give to the Poor. And that was the One Thing I was Eager to do!"

You will learn on this website the Truth about How and Where Christians Tithing originated.

It has to do with the Papacy of Rome. You will have Facts and Dates to check it out.

May I suggest that the Church (Christians and Pastors alike)

have been sold on Hybrid Teachings and Insufficient Research of Church History?

Because it started in the FIFTH CENTURY after Early Church Fathers Fought Against It for FOR HUNDRED YEARS.
